MUSICAL THEATRE

Chryssie Whitehead, guided by her favorite quote, “Be who you needed when you were younger,” joins RADIX’s Guest Artist lineup with 25 years of industry experience in Film, Television, and Broadway as an actress, dancer, and singer.
Chryssie’s dance career began right out of high school as a Radio City Rockette. She trained in musical theatre at AMDA Conservatory in NYC and then immediately left to go on tour with the National tour of FOSSE. Her Broadway debut was in A Chorus Line, playing Kristine (featured in the documentary, Every Little Step). Her Broadway and Lincoln Center performances include Chicago and Company. Regional lead roles include Cassie in A Chorus Line, Lola in Damn Yankees, and Bombaulurina in CATS. Her career has taken her all over the world teaching, as well as touring with Paul McCartney, being Julia Stiles’ dance double in Save the Last Dance, acting in the West Side Story remake and Grey’s Anatomy.
As a writer and producer, Chryssie recently wrote a giveback show about her and her mom’s life, “IN MY OWN LITTLE CORNER”. This show was captured live early 2025 along with a documentary she directed about the community of artists who helped her create this show. Show’s mission: Open up conversations around mental health. Currently, submitting both to film festivals. More at www.IMOLC.com
Chryssie lives in NYC, currently on faculty at Broadway Dance Center and Steps on Broadway in NYC. She is Co-Artistic Director for Broadway Arts Community and their non-profit, Broader than Broadway. A global educator, Chryssie inspires the next generation to explore the world of dancing, storytelling, and the power of a dancer’s voice.
